A large George III oak and elm dresser; featuring a traditional plate rack, and flanked by two carved cupboards. This sits upon a splendid multi drawer and cupboard dresser base. This item would have originally been quite a plain piece of furniture, but during the Victorian period, many of these items were carved to a very high standard. This dresser is an extremely decorative and useful piece of furniture; ideal for any period property, country residence or large farmhouse. This George III oak dresser is in good condition for its age, but has received some repair work during its lifetime.

George III dresser base.

An attractive six drawer George III oak dresser base; with six equally sized drawers. They are all fitted with brass swan neck handles, and cross banded with mahogany veneer. This George III dresser base dates from circa 1800, and stands upon square tapering legs. This dresser base has received some restoration work performed to it during its lifetime – we have shown this in the photos depicting the replacement boards to the back, and the oak framework to the rear has also been replaced. This piece is structurally sound. As this section would be placed against the wall, the restoration work would not be visible. This George III dresser base is ideal for any country or period interior.

The doors open to reveal a single internal rail, making this piece ideal for use as a wardrobe, or if the rail was removed and fitted with shelves instead, a large kitchen cupboard. This cupboard is fitted with a traditional turned brass handle, and two internal side bolts to prevent the door from opening. This Victorian pine cupboard is in good condition for its age, with the wear and tear to be expected from a piece of over one hundred years old.

A truly magnificent piece of classic English, late Victorian carved oak furniture. The bookcase top has a glazed front which opens to reveal numerous large solid oak adjustable shelves. This is positioned above a two door cupboard base; doors being heavily carved with urns, flowers and leaves. The doors open to reveal another large shelf, making this an extremely sturdy and useful piece of furniture. This Victorian library bookcase is in outstanding condition for its age, and was made by Pratt & Sons; renowned high quality cabinet makers. You may notice that the top and bottom locks are missing. We have removed these in order for us to have new keys cut. This victorian library bookcase is in outstanding condition, and is in a beautiful chestnut oak colour.
