Mahogany pedestal office desk.

A beautiful example of a late 1930s mahogany office desk; with a large tulle leather insert to top, and a centre single drawer with sliding fitted interior. This is flanked by two large pedestals with graduated drawers contained in each pedestal. Right hand bottom drawer is a file drawer. This mahogany pedestal office desk is in beautiful condition for its age as it has been recently re-polished in a deep, rich colour. The leather top is in fair condition, but as you can appreciate, for a desk being approximately eighty years old, there will be some small marks and blemishes which we have photographed. The marks add to the character of this extremely useful piece of furniture; ideal for any home office or study. This mahogany pedestal office desk does have an internal locking device; top drawer must be open to release the bottom drawer in each pedestal. This item breaks down into three individual sections for ease of transportation and reassembly.

SOLID OAK EDWARDIAN ROLL TOP DESK

A classical piece of solid oak office furniture; featuring a tambour front to top section which opens up to reveal numerous slides, drawers and compartments for various pieces of stationary. This is positioned above a large writing surface which is deep enough to take a normal sized laptop with the tambour front closed. This is complemented by a beautiful brass lock escutcheon lock and key. All of this is positioned above a twin pedestal base with pull out slides to top and graduated drawers. The desk is positioned on four castors so can easily be moved for cleaning purposes etc. This piece breaks down into four individual sections for ease of transportation and reassembly. The item is in lovely condition for its age, and has a newly fitted lock which is in perfect working order. There are some signs of wear and tear as it has been used daily in an office/study environment. The desk is in good condition for a piece of furniture this age. Unfortunately, there are two small holes to the top of both left and right hand drawer where a circular lock would have been fitted, and we have not been able to replace these; this does not detract from the beauty of this quality piece of furniture.

HOUSEKEEPERS CUPBOARD LARGE VICTORIAN PINE BREAKFRONT

A truly magnificent piece of quality Victorian furniture; this large breakfront pine housekeepers cupboard has a traditional out swept cornice, with central large cupboard flanked by two further cupboards which feature internal shelves. This section sits upon an almost identical base with four graduated drawers to centre; all featuring wooden turned handles. It is still in its original finish, and would make an ideal focal point in any large country kitchen or dining room. The item breaks down into sections for ease of transportation and reassembly, and is in lovely condition for its age, circa 1880.

Please note that there is a piece of cornice missing on the rear right hand side.

HANDMADE OAK EXTENDING TABLE

Handmade oak extending table. A truly magnificent, handmade, solid oak, extending refectory table; featuring a three planked top, and breadboard ends to prevent warping and splitting. This table also has two large extendable leaves which can easily be fitted to increase its length. This beautiful table stands on four period style hour glass legs, and is finished with a large H stretcher. All joints are pegged and the table is finished in a traditional French polish and distressed to give the appearance of a period piece of furniture. It is made using English Oak by our team of craftsmen using traditional methods.

18TH CENTURY CARVED OAK COFFER BOX CHEST

A truly magnificent mid 18^th century oak coffer. This particular coffer features a magnificent Trojan’s head carving to top, and features panelled sides; front panels being decoratively carved with picture scenes. The item has a carved date of 1638, but we believe this to be a later addition. It has a beautiful colour and patina, and would complement any large period property; providing useful storage space as well as being a beautiful period feature. The item is in excellent condition for a piece of this age, and still has all of the original back boards and base boards. We believe that this piece is something different when compared to standard coffers and boxes.

A magnificent, circa 1900, classical piece of art nouveau furniture. Featuring a unique carving to its headboard and footboard which has a swept design; this leads down a centre carved panel with tulip motif.

The headboard and the footboard are supported by robust side irons which can easily support one of our newly made slatted bed bases, or a traditional folding sprung base which is included in the price.

Please state which bed base you require when ordering. This art nouveau double bed is in beautiful condition, as it has been recently re-polished to really bring out the beauty of the colour and the grain.
