A late Victorian oil painting on canvas, featuring a farm yard scene. This painting is in excellent condition for its age, circa 1890. This painting is attributed to the artist Henry Maidment, but unfortunately, the signature is not recognisable. A magnificent solid Oak circa 1880 Victorian box settle. Featuring three panels to rear with carved decoration, traditional out swept side arms, and a large lift up seat fitted with solid brass H style hinges. The seat opens to reveal a large storage area for boots, shoes etc. The front of the settle is also decorated with beautifully carved panels. The item is in fantastic condition for its age, with very little sign of wear and tear, and is in a lovely golden oak colour.

COMPLETE SHIPS TELEGRAPH
A fine example of a Robinsons’ brass ships telegraph, complete with engine room telegraph. This forms a complete unit. This piece was removed in the early 80’s from a Norwegian ferry. Parts of this ship were manufactured from salvaged steel from the German battleship the ‘Tirpitz’ just after the Second World War. This item has been in our family for over thirty years, and we have only recently decided to sell it. It is quite rare to find both pieces of a ships telegraph. Obviously, only the original telegraph that was used on the ships bridge has been polished, although, the engine room piece can also be polished.
